Why is Youth Ministry important?

Statistics tell us two important truths. The first is that Australia has one of the highest youth suicide rates in the world. There is a generation of young people growing up feeling that they are without support and hope. They are lost, dying. The second is that about 85% of people who make a decision to believe in and follow Jesus do so before the age of 18!

Why is Training important?

Paul mentored and trained up Timothy as a young man and eventually appointed him as pastor of the church in Ephesus. In writing to Timothy, Paul had these words to say in 2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctlyhandles the word of truth." God's approval is critical - whether you are a volunteer or paid worker, those who teach are doubly accountable.

What makes for a healthy Youth Ministry?
